It is considerably bigger than 325 brakes and works great for me (Front Lotus 320mm, rear 330 brakes). You can fit the front and back fine with light modification to the metal flap, however

Brake disc diameter is a good one: 286mm discs: 323Ci. 300mm discs: 325Ci or 328Ci; then the age of the car will tell you (assuming the number plate indicates the year of first registration) 325mm discs: 330Ci. Also this assumes the cars are fitted with the increased payload factory option (which prescribes bigger brakes).

Sure, but diesels have their d for making the difference. And they also have fuel injectors. Anyway owner should know what he have, even without checking what it says in rear, and others don't need to know all details. Ofcourse BMW may mark their cars any way they want, but they could optionally use bit thought also.

The 330ci and the 330i are identical when it comes to performance. The 330xi is 4WD and is slower than the 330ci and the 330i. If want the most out of the 330, buy the Performance Package 6-speed (ZHP).

The difference is that the 330 shaft has a CV joint, the others have a u joint. Half shafts are bigger in 330 but no big deal. Differentials are the same, the output stub shafts change, to accommodate different half shafts (if you have the m54 you will have the big case 188k differential already ).

The IS300 also felt lighter, but that may have been due to the fact that it was the bare bones model. The BMW Press Release listed many ZHP suspension differences. I don't know compared to what year and model E46. Comparing US spec 6-speed manual sunroof coupes - my 04 330Ci Sport & Premium package to an 05 330Ci ZHP, the only suspension differences were the struts and shocks and front control arms (supposedly stiffer ball joins in the ZHP arms).
